How do you participate? Simply message me below that you would be interested and we send you a fragrance and a form, you name that fragrance and fill out the form and mail it back to us (we include postage for the form) Its easy and will help us put a name on some of our mystery scents and best of all you get to keep the fragrance(s) to use in your own products. This fragrance is liquid and you can view some of our others HERE

There are 2 options to choose from:

1.) You will get a 4oz fragrance for $3.99 (Price Include Shipping).

OR

2.) 40 oz pack we will send 10 - 4oz fragrances for $24.99 (including shipping to USA)

Well if that is the case, you caught the correct blog. We have just launched ANOTHER!! yes another!! Candle making video. In this video we outline how to provide a DEEP CLEAN for your melter. This outlines the thorough cleaning of the spout as well as the interior of the melter. We hope this helps beginners, as well as potential customers who are wondering how difficult it may be to clean the pot. The cleaning process took a total of 5 minutes!! YES!! I did say 5 minutes!! how difficult is that?? not at all, and that is why we decided to show our customers how to clean the wax melter so there would be no confusion on how easy it really is.

A brief History

First let us start with a history Lesson. What is Scented Rock Salt? Rock Salt is known by a number of names including: Crystal Potpourri, Rock Salt, and Scented Sea Salt. Rock Salt is a natural salt pulled from the ocean. It is used to absorb fragrance and essential oils. When fragrance or essential oils are absorbed into the rock, they can then slowly release a burst of fragrance into a small room. Sea Salt can even be colored, so you can become very creative with your salts. Rock salts last for approx. 5-6 weeks before needing to be “refreshed”.

How do you refresh your salts:

After approx.. 5-6 weeks your rock salt will probably need a refresher. The scented oil will evaporate into the air, releasing the fragrant aroma. This does provide you with a great smelling room, however the fragrance will eventually run dry in your salts. To add a FRESH burst of fragrance into your rocks, simply remove salts from decorative container. Place in a ziplock bag, plastic container, or even glass bowl. Add your fragrance oil, the amount of the oil you need really depends on the amount of salts you have. Once you have added enough fragrance oils, give your bag a good shake, if you are using a bowl stir the mixture around until all salt crystals are completely saturated with the fragrance oil.

You can start to enjoy your salts right away if you are using a tart melter or oil warmer. If you would prefer sachets of your rocks you will need to allow them to dry fully before placing in bags or sachets. To let them dry just leave them in an open container and stir occasional sifting the salts around until they have dried fully.

Palm Wax Candles

Some of the most beautiful candles you'll ever see are made using palm wax. Palm wax is an all natural wax that creates a harder candle than using soy. There are a number of different palm waxes available and each creates an entirely different candle. We offer Starburst Pillar Palm Wax and Crystal Container Palm Wax. The price is fairly competitive to soy, except Palm Wax provides you with so many added benefits.

You can see the 2 different candles in the blog made with both types of wax. You will notice when using the palm wax the candles appear pastel in color similar to soy wax. If you look closely you can see the pattern on the outside of the pillar candle, the "starburst" effect. This candle is unique and if you are selling your products it is a good idea to provide a candle that is different to the candles provided at the booth down the row. Many sellers can charge extra on Palm Wax candles because they are very appealing and have huge selling points. Some selling points to remember to pitch are:

~ Each candle is unique because the pattern cannot be created twice
~ All-natural, renewable resource
~No added Chemicals
~ It resists melting in hot summer months
~ No additives NEEDED!! (Hooray)

We hope that if you have never used palm wax before, that you will consider using this unique wax. Once you try it and see the creativity this wax allows you to have you will be hooked. The wax absorbs fragrance very well and will take color without any issues. This allows you to really save money because you can add less color. Palm wax will also mix well with other waxes so you can create your own custom blends.
